The Formula (Process)

There is a common misconception that all air devices are basically the same. This is far from the truth. Most devices simply filter the air, trapping rather than killing harmful pathogens.

Whilst some organisms will not survive inside a HEPA filter, many dangerous pathogens such as C.diff or MRSA will survive. Studies have even shown that these pathogens can actually colonise and thrive inside a HEPA filter under the right conditions.

This creates a difficult question that needs to be addressed, what happens with these pathogens when it is time to change the filters?

Air Sterilisation - your safest option for both patients and staff

The undisputed main advantage of the AIRDIATE 6 delivers is the fact that it sterilises the air. Sterilisation is the highest level of hygiene and by far, more superior than the standard air purification.

Before entering the HEPA filter, the air passes through 2 disinfection phases. The first, high intensity UVC light followed by Titanium dioxide coated fibres.

These 2 disinfection phases attack microorganisms in different ways ensuring sufficient damage is inflicted on the DNA / RNA and the cell wall of any passing organism. The level of damage means the organism cannot survive.
